Georgian MFA confined itself to condemnation of Karabakh separatists’ exhibition in Tbilisi

According to “APA” agency a provocative anti-Azerbaijani event was organized in the Georgian Capital, Tbilisi.

According to the information, an exhibition entitled “Revival” was opened in “Ayartun” centre featuring works of seven young artists from the illegal ‘Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with the assistance from diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The event which will last until December 20 is being organized with the support of the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, “Tekeyan Centre” Foundation and separatist organization “Shusha Museums”.

Armenian Church priest in Tbilisi Virab Kazaryan, officials of the Embassy of Armenia in Georgia and representatives of the Armenian community took part in the opening of the exhibition. One of the artists, Samvel Davadyan whose works were showcased within the exhibition also participated in the opening ceremony.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia expressed their concern to the official Georgian bodies, in this regard.

Meanwhile, according to “Report” agency, the MFA of Georgia claimed that “exhibitions, conferences and other events organized by any separatist regime such as unrecognized NKR or Abkhazia separatists are undesirable”.


The Ministry noted that “Georgia is itself suffering from separatism and the organization of such an event by NKR separatists is not provided by the Government”.
