Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, also posted up a photo of Shaikh Mohammad with a bird, accompanied with the caption: “When the concept of communication extends to the environment around us, we will see its effects in all our surroundings, love, companionship and kindness. Congratulations to us for our leadership.”

Shaikh Mohammad ‘s latest visit was made after he recently donated 100 tonnes of relief and survival items to cyclone-hit Madagascar.

Thirty-eight people were killed after Cyclone Enawo struck Madagascar last week, while a further 153,000 people have been displaced by storm waters.

On March 13, 2017, Wam reported that the aircraft used to send the aid was a personal contribution from Shaikh Mohammad, to support the people of Madagascar.

The shipment sent to Madagascar, which was organised by the International Humanitarian City, has a total value of Dh1,074,708, which include:

Medicines and medical supplies from World Health Organisation.

300,000 packages of ready to eat high-energy biscuits from World Food Programme.

Shelter relief items for approximately 20,000 people from UNICEF.

Tarpaulins and emergency shelter kits, made available by the international non-governmental organisation ADRA, with field operations in Madagascar.
