UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva is rightfully considered to be one of the most active and vibrant among the region’s First Ladies.

It is noteworthy that during these final days of 2016, Mehriban Aliyeva’s activity does not appear to be slowing. In the second half of December, together with her husband, President Ilham Aliyev, she managed to attend numerous events, mainly including the opening of the newly-built roads, as well as the renovated cultural and historical sites.

Then Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of the residential houses for orphans, participated in the mourning ceremony for the deceased mugham singer, and went to the opening of a new kindergarten in one of the villages near Baku.
