Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles held a charity event – PHOTOS

The Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a charity event in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, on the eve of his death anniversary.

According to the Consulate General of Azerbaijan, the event was arranged for lonely and homeless citizens living in Los Angeles. They were provided with hot meals.

The event, initiated and supported by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan, was organized in one of the largest charity organizations in the US – “Los Angeles Mission”. During the event, Consul General Nasimi Aghayev and consular personnel joined the volunteers in the distribution of meals.

Before the event, Aghayev met with the head of the “Los Angeles Mission” Herb Smith. H. Smith noted that this is the second time that his organization holds such charity event organized by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan. He stressed that with this event Azerbaijan once again welcomed poor and lonely people with open arms, showing warmth and care, which can serve as an example for many.
