International Humanitarian Forum kicks off in Baku – photos

An opening statement was made by President Aliyev

The International Humanitarian Forum started its work in Baku. The forum was attended by politicians and top officials. The opening ceremony was chaired by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. In his opening address, Aliyev drew attention to recent regional confrontations, refugees’ drama and radicalization tendencies in Europe.

“When looking at Europe we can see that the radical forces get more support. This triggers a new round of radicalization in Europe. This tendency is very dangerous. We talk about the dialogue of civilizations, but, as the initial results, we see a clash of civilizations. “

Speaking about Nagorno-Karabakh under the occupation of Armenia, Aliyev said: “Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity must be respected” and pointed out that Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan.
