Accident leads to traffic congestion in Dubai

Traffic in Dubai was slow-moving southbound on Sheikh Zayed Road heading towards Ibn Battuta Mall as well as Jumeirah Village Circle on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road heading south.

An accident was reported on Sheikh Zayed Road at the World Trade Centre level, creating bumper-to-bumper traffic on the highway. Heavy traffic was reported in both directions on Sheikh Zayed Road from the Trade Centre exit to Safa Park at around 8.30am.

Another accident on the E11 going towards Abu Dhabi contributed to heavy traffic from Ghantoot to Kizad.

In Abu Dhabi, traffic was slow southbound on Salam Street from Khalifa Park to the Police College and northbound from Delma Park to Al Dhafra Street.

Motorists also reported heavy traffic heading south on the Abu Dhabi-Sweihan Road leading to Khaleej Al Arabi Street from the Khalifa City area to the Mussafah Bridge. Airport Road was also busy southbound from Al Maqta Bridge to Sas Al Nakheel.
