At least 11 people were injured on Sept. 23 when a metrobus in Istanbul’s Acıbadem neighborhood skid out of its lane and crashed into cars on the D-100 motorway after a passenger attacked the driver, the Istanbul Governor’s Office has announced.

According to the statement, one passenger hit the driver with an umbrella causing him to swerve out of the lane. He was detained after the incident.

Three cars and one public bus were also hit in the crash.
