One of Dubai’s most famous landmarks is making the rounds across social networking sites in the UAE, after a Russian cosmonaut took a photo 400 kilometres from space.
Oleg Germanovich Artemyev, who works for the Russian Federal Space Agency, captured a stunning photo of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah as he flew over the Arabian Gulf.
The photo was shared on Twitter and Instagram, with the caption: “The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago. It is located on the Jumeirah coastal area [in] the emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Together with Anton Astrey family, we were there five years ago.”
