Suicide bombing kills 3 soldiers in Iraq

At least three Iraqi troops have been killed and six others injured when a suicide bombing targeted a joint headquarters for Iraqi army, east of Fallujah, an Iraqi commander said.

Iraqi army’s Captain Ahmed al-Dulaimi told Anadolu Agency that two Daesh-affiliated suicide bombers attacked a joint headquarters of Iraqi army and tribal fighters on early Thursday in Karma city, 13 km east of Anbar province’s Fallujah

“The suicide bombers were wearing police uniforms as one of them was immediately killed by our forces but the other managed to blow himself up, killing three of the troops and injuring 6 others,” Dulaimi said.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals in Fallujah, he added.

The security headquarters of the Iraqi forces in Anbar province come occasionally under attacks by Daesh terrorist group, mostly carried out by suicide bombers and car bombs.
