Baku is the second in the popularity ranking of the capitals of the CIS countries among tourists in the summer of 2017.

“Astana, Baku, Minsk, Yerevan, Tashkent, Almaty, Chisinau, Bishkek, Kiev and Ashgabat are among the top ten most popular cities of the CIS among tourists in the summer of 2017” the ranking says.

“TurStat” informs that tourists come to Baku on average for 5 days in summer and spend $ 75 per night for staying at a hotel.

“Baku is hosting the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan “Formula 1” from June 23 to June 25 and the “Zhara” music festival from July 27 to July 30. They come to Baku to rest on the coast of the Caspian Sea in summer” the agency stresses.
