Redesign of Saudi currency – Photo, Video

Saudi Arabia revealed the redesign of its currency this week. The currency revamp honors King Salman’s rule.

The new bills bear the words “Confidence and Security,” as the motto of the monarch’s rule. King Salman ascended to the throne in January of 2015, after the death of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

On Monday, three sets of the new currency were delivered to the top three leaders of the kingdom; the king, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The currency design was revealed publicly on Tuesday and is intended to be more difficult to counterfeit.
