Turkey is ready to provide Azerbaijan with technology for the construction of military vessels, modernization and restructuring of the Navy, General Director of Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret company Davud Yilmaz told the “Anadolu” agency.

During the Second International Defense Industry Exhibition (ADEX-2016) in Baku, he said: “We know what is needed for the Navy of Azerbaijan, and we are ready to provide support in restructuring of the newly built naval base of the country. In addition, Azerbaijan needs new warships. STM can deliver MİLGEM corvettes to Azerbaijani Navy”, – said YIlmaz.  According to him, negotiations with the Azerbaijani side on this issue continue 2.5 years.

The exhibition presented fast patrol boats and corvettes, developed for the Turkish Navy. The projects that can be developed for the Navy of Azerbaijan have also been discussed.

STM specializes in the construction of high-speed warships, including MİLGEM corvette.
