Baku held a press conference on the occasion of the professional holiday of workers in the tourist industry.

According to Azeri.Today, with reference to APA, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev noted a large increase in the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan in recent years: “The number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan from Arab countries, compared to the previous year, has increased by 8 times. Also, many tourists come from Russia and Kazakhstan. Currently, the main challenge is to achieve changes in the level and quality of service”.

 He added that the draft law “On tourism” is based on the international experience: “The new draft will be discussed in the parliament. We can already say with confidence that tourism takes its rightful place in the new strategy of Azerbaijan”.
