Man killed his father in Sharjah

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of killing his father by attacking him during a heated argument.

The Pakistani suspect is accused of stabbing his father with a knife in the chest yesterday morning at the victim’s house in the Kalba area of Sharjah.

The victim was rushed to Kalba Hospital, where he died as a result of the injuries that he sustained.

The operations room of Kalba Police Station received a call from the local hospital, reporting they had received a patient who was suffering from stab wounds to his chest.

A police spokesperson said that a team of CID officers were dispatched to the hospital.

Police officers were also sent to the crime scene to carry out further investigations.

The police spokesperson said the suspect stabbed his own father and fled following a heated argument between the pair.

Police said they tracked down and arrested the suspect in less than one hour following a tip-off about his whereabouts.
