“According to diplomatic sources, at this stage, Iran is very concerned about the ongoing Karabakh negotiations. It is known that after the April war, unprecedented activity is observed in this matter”, – writes the Armenian newspaper “Haykakan Zhamanak”.
The publication notes that Iran is concerned about the so-called Lavrov’s plan, according to which Armenia should return five regions to Azerbaijan.
“Iran considers the likelihood of such changes on its border against its interests and tries to exert some influence on the process. It is not a coincidence that during the August visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Baku, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani will also be present. It is expected that the latter will declare his concern in this regard”, – writes the newspaper.
