A Pakistani driver allegedly blackmailed the 13-year-old son of his previous employer with posting his naked pictures on the internet if he refrained from having sex, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The father of the teenager MA, 50, who works overseas suspected a phone call that his son received on his mobile when he was with him at the airport.

“He answered the call and stepped far away from me. I asked him who was the caller. He claimed a friend. I did not believe him because the boy looked very confused and worried when received the call. I asked him to give me his mobile. As I got it, a voice recorded message was sent on WhatsApp .

“I opened it and the sender was admonishing my son as to why he was not answering his phone calls. He was talking in broken Arabic,” the dad testified.

The suspicious father also heard other recorded messages from the same person.

“I asked my son about the identity of the sender and he told me that was the driver who worked temporarily for us five months ago.

“My son told me that the driver sexually assaulted him. My son also told me that he buys him and his friends cigarettes,” said the father.

The father lodged a complaint with the police.

A police investigation revealed sexual assault and that the driver had recorded the incident with which he was blackmailing the boy.

Police arrested the driver IA, 25, Pakistani and confiscated his mobile.

The accused refrained from giving the security code for the smartphone. However, police retrieved four pictures, eight audio recordings, and five video recordings in relation to the crime.

The court will reconvene on August 25.

Manager ‘collects’ Dh400,000 from clients

An executive manager of a company allegedly stole 50 payment receipts of his employer and collected about Dh400,000 from clients, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

In August 2014, the company’s accountant informed the company’s owner AD, that a receipt book that contained 50 receipts went missing.

The owner asked the accountant to inform the company’s Legal and Financial Affairs department to seize those receipts.

The company did not inform police considering it an internal problem.

However, in February 2016, a client requested a statement for her account with the company.

She found out that there were two payments she made that  were not mentioned in the statement. The total value of the payments were $23,000. So, she lodged a complaint with the police.

Police confronted AA, 42, Dominican of Egyptian origin, he admitted to the allegations.

The company contacted all its clients and found out that the accused collected a total of Dh267,500 .

The accountant, who is the wife of the owner, testified that she found out that the accused in some cases pretended a partner before clients.

The company deals in immigration applications.

Guard, driver steal Dh24k worth of diesel

A guard and a driver allegedly stole from their employer diesel worth Dh24,000 over a three-month period, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The guard, HA, 30, Pakistani agreed with TI, 31, driver Bangladeshi to steal diesel from the site.

The guard allowed the driver to get into the site and steal the diesel.

After stealing the diesel, the driver sold it and gave the guard some of the money.

The engineer estimated the value of the stolen diesel with Dh24,000.

The court will reconvene on August 17.
