The Qatari Committee for Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip Chairman HE Ambassador Mohamed Ismail al-Emadi has stressed Qatar’s commitment to the implementation of all projects in the Strip by the Palestinian local construction companies and through recruiting local manpower and local suppliers.

During a meeting with the various Palestinian private sector, trade unions, professional associations, institutions representatives, al-Emadi said: “We will not we use foreign companies in the implementation of our projects in Gaza and we will rely on local suppliers to provide these projects various needs through the purchase of local products and to provide jobs for large numbers of Gaza workers in related constructions and reconstruction operating segments.”

For his part, Ali al-Hayek, president of the Palestinian Businessmen Association and vice president of the General Federation of Industries, lauded Qatar’s support for the Palestinian people, stressing that Qatar is the largest and most important donor and supportive of the Palestinian private sector.

He pointed out that the State of Qatar was one of the first countries that worked to compensate the private sector for the damage of its establishments through many projects and programmes.
