Israel is outraged by the Russian FM’s position on Armenia

It’s amazing how people change their views overnight, ignoring the risk of not only being laughed at, but completely lose credibility. That is how the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova behaved, without considering the consequences or completely ignoring them, renouncing her own words about the unveiling of the monument in Yerevan to one of the most ardent adherents of fascist ideology and anti-Semitism during World War II, the Armenian nationalists and war criminal, convicted by the Military Court of the USSR, Garegin Nzhdeh.

It is unclear under whose influence the Foreign Ministry press service of such a powerful country in every respect, as Russia, may be. However, there is an evidence of pressure from either external or internal “resources”, which invisibly, but very significantly “correct” any information which may be disadvantageous for them.

It is clear that all these are schemes of the Armenian lobby, but really, couldn’t Maria Zakharova resist the requests or pressure from Armenia, even to save the image of her motherland – Russia, and stated that her words about the installation of the monument to Nzhdeh were misrepresented? After all, she is not a private individual, but the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state, we can say, the official mouthpiece of its policies!

As is known, at first, Zakharova, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called the unveiling of the monument to Garegin Nzhdeh as an attempt to “revival, glorification of all manifestations of Nazism, neo-Nazism and extremism”. “We will evaluate things that are not compatible with the memory of WWII heroes,” – she promised.

So what happened after two weeks? Did revival and glorification of the Nazis become irrelevant or did the memory of the heroes of the Second World War depreciate, become totally unneeded?

Choose one of the two, Ms. Zakharova! However, no matter what you choose, you will be condemned by all surviving veterans of that terrible war and victims of the Holocaust, as well as the souls of those whose memory you have disgraced, allowing the possibility of immortalizing the name of one of the most brutal war criminals.
