The prince was conducting an air mission with his team, when his Apache helicopter experienced technical issues, resulting in its subsequent crash, Al Masdar reported.
“Our prayers this morning are to God to protect and heal Shaikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed and his comrades, the sons of this nation, the present and the future,” Dr. Anwar bin Mohammad Gargash, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs tweeted on Sunday, Gulf News said.
According to the media reports, the prince is currently seeking medical treatment in Germany to speed up his recovery.
Earlier, the general command of UAE’s armed forces confirmed that four of its soldiers were killed after their helicopter was hit by a technical fault.
