French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said on Sunday that Russia and Iran would become accomplices in war crimes if they continue to prolong the war in Syria.
Describing Russia and Iran as supporters of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Ayrault called on them “to demonstrate responsibility by halting their ‘deadlock’ strategy.”
Failure to do so, explained the French official, will see both countries complicit in war crimes committed in Aleppo. Ayrault made his comments in a written statement on the bombings that have struck the Syrian city, killing scores of people.
