The United States is actively working with Azerbaijan and other countries towards ensuring global energy security, said U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta, APA reported.

“As SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said at today’s event of the American Chamber of Commerce, U.S. companies were actively involved in the development of hydrocarbon resources in Azerbaijan,” said the ambassador.

Ambassador Cekuta said that U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly underlined Azerbaijan’s important role in ensuring regional and global energy security. “We continue to work together with Azerbaijan to preserve this role,” he added.
