First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva expressed condolences in connection with the death of two-year-old Zahra Guliyeva as a result of Armenian firing.

“Azerbaijan is against the Armenian occupation, murder of innocent people. May the souls of little Zahra and all our martyrs rest in peace,” Mehriban Aliyeva wrote in her micro blog on Twitter.

It should be reminded that the Armenian armed forces fired from 82- and 120-mm mortars and heavy grenade launchers on July 4 at about 20:40 (GMT+4 hours) at the village of Alkhanli of the Fizuli district. As a result, the villagers Allahverdieva Sahiba Idris gizi, born in 1967, and Guliyeva Zahra Elnur gizi, born in 2015, were killed. Guliyeva Sarvinaz Iltifat gizi, born in 1965, was hospitalized and operated on. Civilian objects were also damaged.

In connection with the incident, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan initiated criminal proceedings under seven articles.
