Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud passed away today, the Saudi Royal Court said in a statement, the state Saudi Press Agency, SPA, reported.

He will be laid to rest following funeral prayers after Isha (night prayers) on Thursday at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the statement said.

Prince Mishaal was the chairman of the Allegiance Commission, which was established in 2006 by the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
