Jordan greets increasing number of British visitors

Jordan saw further growth in UK visitor numbers in the first quarter of 2017, January – March, increasing by 15.8 per cent, compared to the same period in 2016.

The swell in travellers follows the announcement that UK tourists to the Hashemite Kingdom also grew by seven per cent in 2016.

Jordan’s ever increasing appeal with UK travellers has encouraged a new tour operator, Flash Pack, specialising in group tours for solo like-minded 30-40-year-old holidaymakers, to enter and welcome guests in the Hashemite Kingdom.

The first quarter of 2017 also saw Jordan welcome its first signature 18-hole grass golf course in Aqaba, on the country’s Red Sea coastline.

Conceived with golf professionals and enthusiasts in mind, there are very few destinations in the Middle East that offer the prestigious facilities and serene surroundings provided by Ayla.

Designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman, the 18-hole championship course is situated at the heart of Aqaba’s newest waterfront development. Offering a range of holes to challenge all abilities

A host of new hotels have and are planned to launch in 2017 including, the five-star Century Hotel Dead Sea Jordan, W Amman Hotel, Fairmont Hotel, The St. Regis Amman, Hyatt Regency, Al Manara and Jumeirah at Saraya Aqaba.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts launched their first property, Hilton Dead Sea, in Jordan in March 2017 on the eastern shores of the Dead Sea.
