The units of the Azerbaijani armed forces have taken appropriate retaliatory measures against the shelling of the Azerbaijani positions from a camouflaged Armenian military vehicle that had no distinctive signs relating to any media or civil organization.

This is stated by the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry regarding the information in the Armenian media about wounding the cameraman of the Armenian television company “Shant” on the front line as a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side.

The Defense Ministry stressed that “the armed forces of Azerbaijan take retaliatory measures only against military forces, means and other objects of the enemy.”

According to the Armenian media, on May 10, around 18:00 in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijani soldiers shelled the car of the “Shant” TV crew, as a result of which the cameraman David Atoyan was wounded.
