Prince Hamdan just ate a 24k gold burger – Photos

People have been talking about UK-based food truck operator The Roadery’s gold-plated since early February … ever since the company announced it was bringing the most expensive street food to Dubai.

Dubbed the ‘Burg Khalifa’, the massive burger was served during the Eat The World DXB festival this weekend

Featuring a gold leaf on top, covering the bun, the burger was priced at 230 dirhams ($63).

That’s as much as a one-way ticket from Dubai to Doha.

So, is it worth it?

Well, Dubai’s crown prince decided it was.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed was spotted taking a bite of the gold-plated sandwich at the festival this weekend. And The Roadery couldn’t resist sharing a photo on its Instagram feed.

Is that satisfaction we see on Sheikh Hamdan’s face?

The burger contains five layers of Wagyu beef patties, seared duck foie gras, black truffled cheese, and saffron mayonnaise

What do you think? Would you take a bite?
