An explosive devise blew up near a restaurant in Maltepe district in the Asian part of Istanbul city on Friday without inflicting casualties.

Policemen, firefighters and rescuers rushed to the site as investigator started probing the causes of, and motives behind, the blast, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported, citing security sources.
