An ISIS leader tasked with the organization’s communication ministry has been killed by the Iraqi warplanes in western Mosul, said the Iraqi War Media Cell (IWMC).
IWMC announced on Wednesday the death of ISIS leader Ziyad Kharufah, the group’s communication minister in an aerial attack by the Iraqi war jets during Mosul operation.
According to the source, Kharufah was in charge of media production in the group’s main bastion of Mosul.
The source added that the militants have buried the dead leader in Harbi neighbourhood in western Mosul.
Earlier on Tuesday, the coalition jets pounded the ISIS positions in Abu Maria village, near Tel Affar district in western Mosul where Abu Ihab, who was in charge of the ISIS military plans in Mosul, along with five other militants were killed.
