A Pakistani national was executed in Mecca in the Governorate of Jeddah for dealing in drugs.

The Criminal Court convicted Amjad Hussain Ashraf Shaf of attempting to smuggle heroin into Saudi Arabia and sentenced him to death.

Ayoub Khan Menqal Khan was also executed in the Eastern province after he attempted to smuggle heroin.

The Court of Appeals and the High Court also upheld the capital punishment.
