Turkey Closes European Fund

The Turkish authorities have decided to end the scholarship program of the European Union. The program is called a financial instrument to facilitate the entry into the EU.

According to the document, the program provides “support for projects developed at the central, regional and local levels in order to encourage the participation of non-governmental organizations in the countries involved in the accession process.” That is, in fact, a program that supports various kinds of “non-governmental organizations”, better known as liberal or undermining the foundations of the state. And sometimes even radical terrorist.

Information about stopping the program was announced more August 4, but in Europe found out about it just now. Yesterday in the delegation of the European Union in Turkey has issued a statement in which the representatives of the European Union expressed regret because of the situation and stressed that the decision was made without their knowledge.
