PA calls on US to prevent its citizens from raiding Al-Aqsa

The Palestinian Authority (PA) called on the US to ask its citizens not to take part in the “illegal raids” of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Moheet.com reported yesterday.

In a statement the PA foreign ministry said it considered the incursion as “illegal and a flagrant intervention in Palestinian affairs,” and as backing the provocative moves by extremist Jewish groups aiming to change the status quo at the mosque.

According to the statement, the PA considered the American participation in such raids as a “clear support for the Jewish plans aiming to implement a Jewish agenda, destroying Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the so-called Jewish Temple in its place.”

US Congressman Mike Lee took part “incursion of settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday” prompting the PA to respond.
