In line with making Dubai a smart city, the first Smart Street pole has been installed in Dubai Silicon Oasis.

The technology offers WiFi access to those near the area as well as real-time news display and sensors that monitor temperature, humidity and air quality.

“The street incorporates a number of advances features geared towards creating a friendly and secure environment for the community”, said Huawei, who have been working on the new addition to the city.

The Smart Street Solution also allows greater energy efficiency and management.
