Dubai Police has inducted 24 high-powered Kawasaki Concours-1400 into its fleet, which were upgraded with a special police ‘up-fit’ kit.
The bikes, which are widely used in the United States, come with high-grade technical, speed and maneuverability features.
The handover ceremony, which was held at the Dubai Police General Headquarters of Transport and Rescue, was attended by Major General Anas Al Matrooshi, Director-General of the Department of Transport & Rescue; Major Sultan Al Marri, Head of Identification of Needs, General Department of Transport & Rescue; Ravi Nair, Brand Manager of the Kawasaki Liberty Automobiles Company; and Salim Obaid Al Hajeri, Head Of Central Services, Liberty Automobiles Company.
Speaking on the announcement, Ravi Nair said, “Liberty Automobiles takes great pride in supplying Dubai Police with these high-performance patrol bikes that are very popular with law enforcement agencies in advanced countries. The Kawasaki Concours is a bike that gives the rider full control and balance, as well as amazing maneuverability for a vehicle of that size. We are confident that it will give a new edge to patrolling in Dubai, especially in congested streets.”
