Iran will take on any kind of US-led coalition

Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said that Tehran is prepared to face off any kind of US-Saudi Arabia-Israel triangle coalition.

Speaking to Lebanese Al-Manar television network on the sidelines of the 6th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS), Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan stressed that given the US current policies, any remarks on improving relations with US is like talking about a “non-realizable goal”.

He went on to add, “the United States with its interventional policies all across the world is not qualified to take on a negotiating role and make any attempts at improving its ties with Iran.”

The six Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS) was held in the Russian capital on 26-27 of April 2017, and attended by 700 participants from 80 countries, including Iran. The Conference was focused on the most critical problems of global and regional security, including discussions on fighting Takfiri terrorism in Syria and Yemen and its spread across the Middle East with an aim to arrive at a uniform understanding and position for taking steps toward settling these issues.

Addressing the conference, Dehghan strongly condemned the US policies in the region and their attempts at displaying a new form of “universal fascism” with a new doctrine and the policy of “commercialization of security” to stabilize their future role in the international system.

Dehghan also held a trilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu and his Syrian counterpart Fahd Jassem al-Freij on the sidelines of the conference, where the sides stressed tackling terrorism and continuity of joint actions aimed at uprooting the Wahhabi-Takfiri terrorist groups, and slammed the US recent attack against Syria and its obvious supports from terrorist groups in the Arab country.
