Russia and the United States have exchanged heated comments over each country’s activities in war-torn Syria. At the UN Security Council in New York on September 21, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry accused his counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, of living in a “parallel universe” in explaining Russia’s actions.
