Official Baku thinks that the decision of the son of the Armenian Prime-Minister Nikol Pashinyan to serve in the military in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan – in Nagorno-Karabakh – is nothing, but a political show.
According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, Press-Secretary of the MFA Hikmet Hajiyev said this.
“This is a political show. Pashinyan’s regime is seeking to improve its rating, by this act. It shows once again that the military service of the Armenian citizens in Azerbaijan is the occupation of the territories of Azerbaijan”- Hajiyev said at the briefing on Wednesday.
According to his words, such a step “is not constructive and cannot stabilize the region”.
Hajiyev added that the deployment of Armenian troops in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan also “escalates tension”.
