An Azerbaijan-Serbia working meeting has been held in Baku as part of the official visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
In his opening remarks, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev said that Azerbaijan-Serbia relations are based on the principles of strategic cooperation, friendship and mutual respect. He described the documents signed between Azerbaijan and Serbia as a strong legal framework for deepening bilateral ties.
Touching on the prospects for Azerbaijan-Serbia cooperation, Mustafayev called on the businessmen to use the existing potential more effectively.
President Aleksandar Vucic thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the opportunity to get closely acquainted with Azerbaijan during his visit. He said his country attaches great importance to the expansion of relations with Azerbaijan.
The Serbian President hailed his country’s economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, pointing out that there are good opportunities for raising the economic relations to the high level of political relations. He underlined that the documents signed during the visit, including the Joint Action Plan for Strategic Partnership will contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.
Aleksandar Vucic provided an insight into Serbia’s economy and invited the Azerbaijani businessmen to implement various projects in Serbia and take advantage of his country’s investment climate.
