Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, received a telephone call from US President Donald Trump on Wednesday to condemn the attempt by the Houthi militias to target the city of Riyadh with a ballistic missile.
President Trump condemned the attempt, which was a blatant attack that target targeted a populated area.
King Salman and President Trump also discussed measures to implement United Nations Security Council resolutions that hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive actions in the region and their continuous supply of missiles to the Houthi militia that threatens the security and stability of the Kingdom and countries of the region.
It’s an attack the White House says was “enabled by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”
The White House says the leaders “discussed the importance of engaging the United Nations to hold Iran accountable for its repeated violations of international law” during Wednesday’s call.
The two leaders also stressed the need to support all relief and humanitarian operations in order to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people.
