THRILLSEEKERS are set to flock to the world’s longest zipline being built at the top of an Arabian mountain.
The Jebel Jais zipline will run from the UAE’s highest point just shy of 2km above sea level and adrenaline junkies will reach speeds of up to 80mph.
Thrillseekers will be able to go up to 80mph on the world-record breaking zipline
The Jebel Jais zipline is being constructed at the top of the UAE’s highest peak
And at around 1.5miles long — the length of 28 football pitches — it is expected to beat the current world record zipline in Toro Verde’s adventure park in Puerto Rico, which is more than 2,500m long.
The precise length of the Jebel Jais zipline is being kept a closely guarded secret until it is open in December.
And the seven-tonne cables will run in two lines so daredevil pals can join in together.
Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA said: Opening within the heart of the UAE’s highest and most iconic natural mountain range, the Jebel Jais zip line experience will consist of two lines, allowing friends and family to take part in the flight together.
