Business conditions in the UAE are expected to improve with salaries set to increase, according to a new survey.
The latest results from the Middle East Job Seeker Confidence Survey carried out by Bayt.com and YouGov indicates that nearly three quarters (74 percent) of respondents expect business conditions to improve.
Another 17 percent said they expect business conditions to “remain the same” while only 9 percent said they could get worse.
Regarding jobs, more UAE respondents believe that there are currently “plenty of jobs available across various industries” in comparison to those who believe there are “few jobs available across few industries”, the survey said.
Nearly two thirds of UAE respondents (63 percent) also said they believe that their financial position will “improve” in the next six months while only 12 percent them expect things to worsen.
With regards to job satisfaction levels, 50 percent of UAE respondents said they are satisfied towards their career growth opportunities and 24 percent are neutral.
In terms of work-life balance, 48 percent of UAE respondents said they were satisfied, while 24 percent were neutral.
Looking at future career growth opportunities, 53 percent of UAE respondents believe that career growth opportunities will get better over the next six months, 35 percent said they will remain the same, while only 12 percent said they could get worse.
This positive outlook by respondents was also reflected on their expectations for salaries in the next six months, with 47 percent believing that they will get better while only 15 percent said they would worsen.
