A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit the Aegean Sea and was felt Istanbul and neighboring provinces on June 12, according to the Kandilli Observatory and the Earthquake Research Institute.
The epicenter of the quake was the Karaburun region of the Aegean province of İzmir, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced.
