Overnight Sunday, Israeli security forces dismantled a monument in Hebron erected in memory of a terrorist who carried out an attack in the region. They also seized seven illegal weapons manufacturing lathes and arrested three suspects for terrorist activities.
The monument was erected in memory of the terrorist Bian Asila, a 16-year-old Palestinian girl. In October 2015, Asila approached the Border Police base near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and attempted to stab a Border Police officer on guard duty, though she only succeeded in lightly wounding the Israeli’s hand. Cpl. M., the attacked Border Police officer, managed to shoot Asila dead.
According to intelligence figures, as a result of the frequent raids by the security forces, the price of improvised weapons has increased, nearly tripling from the prices of a year and a half ago.
