Moscow is looking to invite Qatari investments in its transport infrastructure as well as other sectors like real estate, healthcare, hospitality, and tourism, said a high ranking official.
Moscow is a major destination for foreign direct investments, Cheryomin Sergei, Moscow Government Minister and head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations, was quoted as saying in a Gulf Times report.
Sergei led a high-level trade delegation from Moscow yesterday (November 30) and met with Qatar Chamber officials led by vice-chairman Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari, it said.
He said that Moscow’s relationship with Qatar is very important and has improved dramatically in the past few years, and they look forward to supporting this trend and develop opportunities for mutual cooperation.
Sergei said that there is a plan to build 170 major transport hubs and development plans for 99 transport hubs are ready, while 30 transport hubs have ratified urban planning documentation.
