The State of Qatar took part in the 55th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation, which kicked off yesterday in the Omani capital, Muscat, with the participation of the civil aviation heads of delegations of nine Arab countries, in addition to the Director-General of the Arab Authority for Civil Aviation and a representative of the Arab League.
Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was headed by Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al Subaie.
The meeting discussed several issues relating to air transportation, air navigation, air safety and the environment and aviation security, and issued the necessary recommendations. The meeting also reviewed a summary of the work of the technical committees in various fields.
Qatar currently chairs the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation.
