A massive search operation was underway Monday morning for a six-year old Jerusalem boy who has been missing since Sunday afternoon.
Yaakov Dov Sarot was last seen getting off a bus with his father on Shmuel Neiman Street, in the northern neighborhood of Neve Ya’akov.
The father said the boy, who is autistic, ran off.
Police are understood to be focusing on the areas of Neve Ya’akov and the nearby Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina.
Police officers were joined by rescue teams including Zaka, police tracker dog units, a helicopter, the Megilot Rescue Team and dozens of volunteers from United Hatzalah.
The boy has dark hair, the side-curls worn by Orthodox Jews, and a right eye that is slightly closed. He was wearing a blue jacket and dark pants when he was last seen.
