Amphibious aircraft of the MES sent to put out wildfires in Israel.  According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Israeli government appealed to the Government of Azerbaijan with a request to provide appropriate assistance in fighting forest fires raging through the country.

In this regard, upon instructions from President Ilham Aliyev, preparatory work has been started on sending «BE-200ÇS» Amphibious aircraft of the MES together with the relevant fire-fighting equipment to Israel.

Azerbaijan has offered a helping hand to Israel in fighting wildfires raging in the country, writes kavkasia.net with reference to the Israeli media.

In the next few hours, an aircraft from Azerbaijan will join the firefighting operations. Another two aircrafts were sent by Ukraine.

Powerful wildfires erupted this week in several areas of Israel. The fire is raging at the moment in the area of the village of Nataf near Jerusalem, also forests and bushes are burning in the area of Latrun between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The situation at the approach to the cities of Haifa, Hadera and Zichron Yaakov in the north is complicated. In some areas the authorities have declared the state of emergency and conducted the evacuation of the population, in the area of Zichron Yaakov police asked residents not to return to their homes until November 25.
