His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, launched on Sunday  an indicator for innovation in modern transportation, and said it is the first of its kind in the world.

Sheikh Hamdan said the urban transport innovation index is the first of its kind and reflects the Dubai Plan 2021, which reflects the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global destination at various levels.

“This indicator is the first of its kind and our aim is to be among the top countries in this field,” Sheikh Hamdan said.

The new indicator is part of Dubai Strategy for Innovation, whose 20 initiatives will be rolled out over three years aims to make Dubai the world’s most innovative city, Sheikh Hamdan added.
