If you are a love bird, better still a newlywed, here’s your chance to be among the first to spend your honeymoon on an all-new, dedicated honeymooner’s paradise – right here in Dubai.
Called St Petersburg Island, the first-of-its-kind luxury resort, which will be ready by year-end, will soon open bookings for honeymooners who can access the island through private transfers by helicopter, seaplane or boat and be put up in dreamlike Floating Seahorse villas.
The Heart of Europe
Being launched by European developer Kleindienst, St Petersburg Island is located in The Heart of Europe on The World Islands, just 6.5km from the coast of Dubai. Shaped in the form of a heart, the five-star resort draws inspiration from some of the world’s most sought-after honeymoon hotspots found in The Maldives, Bora Bora and the Caribbean.
Speaking to XPRESS, Josef Kleindienst, chairman of The Heart of Europe, said, “Construction on St Petersburg Island has already started and work on the resort facilities and landscaping will begin very soon. The project will be completed by the last quarter of 2016.”
He said, “The 90 Floating Seahorse villas will offer newlyweds the chance to be among the first to experience a luxury retreat in a partially submerged villa. The villas are currently being fabricated in the dry docks.”
He said a dedicated Honeymoon Hotel will also come up by the end of 2018.
Kleindienst said St Petersburg Island will house first class facilities, including an infinity pool, shallow lagoons, lush tropical gardens and a pool bar and restaurant. Newlyweds can enjoy 24/7 butler service and either dine at the resort or at the nearby Main Europe Island, the largest hub of The Heart of Europe.
“For those who want to enjoy the local marine life, snorkelling and diving activities will be on offer, combined with spa and relaxation facilities to ensure a relaxing and rejuvenating stay at The Heart of Europe.”
He said guests staying at St Petersburg Island will also have access to Main Europe and Switzerland Island within The Heart of Europe, which will both operate outdoor climate controlled technology throughout the year.
Kleindienst said, “St Petersburg Island will be a dream destination for couples and newlyweds. The five star resort will offer privacy, tranquility and first-class hospitality to ensure a memorable and once in a lifetime experience. The honeymoon business is a multi-billion dollar industry and we are excited by the prospect of newly-married couples choosing to spend the most special holiday of their lives at St Petersburg Island very soon.”
