His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday exchanged greetings on the occasion of Ramadan, in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
This came when Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met at Zabeel Palace, Dubai.
Among those who attended the meeting were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region; Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and a number of Sheikhs.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also received tribal dignitaries who called on them to offer greetings on the advent of Ramadan. They prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant welfare and happiness under the blessed leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wishing him well.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed their happiness at meeting with the tribal dignitaries and exchanging the greetings with them, as well as reassuring on their living conditions, given much attention by Sheikh Khalifa.
The wise leadership is keen on ensuring the welfare of Emiratis across the country.
In this regard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid confirmed that the leadership’s meeting with the people in such religious and national occasions embodies the theme of one family compassion and national and social solidarity, and “reflects our Arab and Islamic traditions and customs cherished by generations.”
He also pointed out that “Our diverse community represents social and cultural fabric and a model of co-existence, harmony and collaboration. This is obviously seen by this communication and regular exchanges of visits among various segments of the society, especially in the month of Ramadan, the month of tolerance, compassion and forgiveness.”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid added, “The leadership of the UAE is engaged in building human resources and make them happy.”
He referred to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s daily and weekly meetings with various segments of the society, such as students, academics, doctors, military and sportsmen. These meetings, he continued, reflect the spirit of cohesion and authentic values inherited by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed from his late father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
